A great big thanks to everyone who came along to see us for our shows in Scotland and Cardiff. We had loads of fun and managed to shift all the CD’s we took with us! (There are still some left though, so if you’d like one head over to the shop section of the website). Highlights aside from the shows included the three unplugged songs for the ‘Off The Beaten Tracks’ boys on the Meadows in Edinburgh, an awkward in-store at Avalanche (complete with people shuffling through CD’s whilst we played) and end of tour Karaoke from Andy ‘Mr Brightside’ Greive and Thomas ‘Temptation’ Allard.
In other news, we’ve had some radio play on Radio 1 & 2 and BBC6 Music. And you can read some reviews of ‘Stars’ here:
Our record ‘The Blossom Sighs’ is set for release later this year. Yay!
Hello. If you´d like a free download of our new single, go on over to the mailing list page and sign up. When you confirm, you´ll get the chance to download an mp3 of ´Something strange beneath the stars´, our new single. If you want a cd, with pretty art by paul, it´s in the shop.
“Something strange beneath the stars” is released today on Haircut Records. You can get it straight from our shop, or download the bits at Amazon, iTunes or your toaster. Paul did the gorgous cover, and the cd comes with a vinyl-style sleeve and stamp that we inked with our best hands.
Something Strange beneath the Stars is our next single, and it’s coming out Monday 25th Jan on Haircut Records. You’ll be able to buy it from this here bunker too. We’re doing a show at the Luminaire on thursday (21st) to launch it to the moon in a wonky rocket, and crayonlegs did us a well wicked poster for it.
Did you like the capitalisation up in that title? I’m working on my jargon, with the goal of being included in ArtWank at some point. Let the following recontextualisation of melodies bring you into a space beyond analysis..
The Police Box have included our track ‘Narissa, I won’t’ on their bargain-priced £1 compilation on TenTracks.co.uk, along with gems from Moustache of Insanity, Allo Darlin, and Enfant Bastard. They do some even cheaper subscription packages which I’m thinking of investing in. We recorded this a while back and the label who planned to release it exploded or ran out of money or something, so it’s nice to get it out there.
